Sydney is a classically trained pianist who began studying the piano at age 6. She continued her studies with Madeline and Harry Levenson of Worcester, Massachusetts. Then, at Skidmore College.

She is the former Vice President of the Massachusetts Chapter of the American Women Composers. She composed music for theatrical productions including “The Yellow Dress” and “Staying On Track.”
